things visible and invisible
Relating visible and invisible seems to be a huge interest to me, not only because the number of other people who had noticed this special correlation before me but mainly because of variety of branches of philosophy, areas of science and eras of time they had come frome. It was after I read the thesis on political economy and liberty with a similar title "That which is seen and that which is unseen" when I realized. I will, for now, avoid relatively transparent subject of economics ( although it is still not so transparent to many of our political leaders ) and let me, dear reader, stir your intellect with something more radical, something, what appears to be the first and the last knowledge of mankind about existence. Let's begin with the last. As you might or might not know, quantum physics is the latest major, major, major branch of physics and all modern science in general is subjected to it. First mentioned in the early 19th century, it was only to come to a full attention in the first half of the 20th century when scientists observed that an electron fired at the "compound with two holes" is projected differently on the background when being observed by different number of observers. I will skip the long explanations and go to the point. After a solid research, scientists drew a conclusion that "something comes to being when observer observes anything in it" and after another solid reasoning they concluded the foundation of modern science, which is "the origin of matter is in nothingness". Since then, it has been challenged many times and has not failed even during second world war when German scientific community was under pressure of Nazi propaganda and when the theory came under a systematic attack alongside with special relativity. All the attacks only proved the validity of the theory applied on any known phenomenon. |
